As a student recruiter you might have found yourself in a situation where you can’t find reputable agents to help you recruit students from different countries around the world. Because we understand that it is part of your job to find and recruit good agents in order to complement your student recruitment strategy, we thought it would be a great idea to share with you 3 ways to find high quality ethical accredited agents.
In reality a perfect model to find “honest agents” doesn´t really exist, only channels that will make it easier for you. Follow your intuition and consider the following channels as useful ways to recruit high quality agents:
One of the best ways to find a good agent is by asking institutions and other student recruiters for personal references. Send an email, call them and ask them which agents they have worked with, and which ones they would recommend. Don’t confuse honesty with effectiveness, you want to find something that is both effective and reputable. Prioritize agents that respond to your emails, that understand your programmes and your institution. Choose agents that are well known within their chosen field and that can offer valuable insight into the student market of your interest.
Agents Groups on LinkedIn
Another way to get in touch and to find potential agents is through LinkedIn groups. Some of these agents are members of LinkedIn groups. Feel free to post what you’re looking for, and also mention what subjects you are interested in. I’m pretty sure you’ll receive messages from different agents. It will be your task to determine whether or not one of them is the best agent for what you are looking for. Once you’ve established contact, don’t forget to ask for personal references, and about their experiences with other schools.
